Julian, a warrior of the Igrid race — half-human, half-animal with rabbit-like ears — is often followed by Alberia, a mysterious blonde-haired girl. Though she constantly annoys him, Alberia turns out to be Julian's only true friend, unafraid of his half-beast nature.
